Through out the new and media raves are usually connected to major ecstacy use.
Whilst looking up articles for the Australian rave scene I noticed alot of the articles about drug use and I was interested in seeing the differences between Raves and Doofs. It seems that at raves there seems to be alot of ecstasy. At doofs there is a higher use of psychedelic drugs such as mushrooms and LSD.
The main reason I belive in the different pattern of drug use is the different forms of music played at these events. Raves usually have Electronica, Trance, and Techno whist Doofs have mainly Psy Trance or psychedelic trance and have a better and safer enivroment for these kind of drugs.
